Id really love your thoughts and comments... Once again Scott Campbell is trying to poke holes in Veganism after I posted a picture of a poor chinchilla who was still alive after being skinned. His first comment was why do I post lies when everyone knows it is illegal to skin animals alive... After my response, here was the conversation that followed...so far... Let us both know what you think... Scott: Perhaps I consider that showing a bunch of lurid visceral images to an audience that could largely be made up of spectators who are viscerotonic (satiated by visceral sensation) in nature might not be a good idea. But go ahead, I dont want to impede your mission. Joy, Just to let you know, I would like nothing better than for us to have a perfectly satisfactory vegan utopia on planet Earth - but at the same time, I wonder if we are ready for it yet? Is this yet another doomed effort to Gentrify the Savages? Are vegans the White Colonialists to the Omnivores African Natives? Can one force evolution? If you think so, then maybe you should have a look into Transhumanism and all of the ramifications of pursuing that subject. Me: If you would like nothing better Scott then why dont you start with yourself? Instead of all of this nonsense. Honestly... Slavery, extreme violence, murder, gluttony, complete disregard for the welfare of others outside of your circle is just WRONG. Period. Enough with all of this academia... If you eat meat and/or dairy, wear leather, use products tested on animals, you are directly contributing to all of the above. Its not a socio-political-philosophical-existential-Darwinistic exercise were doing here. And NOBODY WANTS to see these images, we are the only ones who have had the courage to view them, grieve over them, change OURSELVES because of them, and try to wake people up to the truth of them. When we post these images we are holding up a MIRROR... If you dont like your own reflection then DO something to change it! These lurid visceral images are the REFLECTION of mankinds treatment of other life forms on this planet. In the TRILLIONS! Every second of every day... Dont you GET that? And Scott, ask yourself why you are always trying to poke holes in my posts... Seems to me like an exercise in justification...
