If 2 parts hydrogen is joined to 1 part oxygen then the result of this becomes 1 molecule of water. If you take away the 2 parts hydrogen then it ceases to be water anymore and only oxygen remains. If you join 1 part soil with 1 part breath of life (spirit) the result is that it BECOMES a living soul. The soul recognizes the EFFECT of the life on the soil; it has sensation and awareness. If you remove the breath of life (like in death) then the soul ceases to exist and only the soil remains.
