If Democrats would accomplish something, they wouldnt find it so hard to get people to vote for them. Republicans deliver on what they promise to do, and thats why people who want that shit come out to vote for them. The Democratic Party is one of empty promises and endless excuses, and liberals shouldnt have to put up with that. I keep hearing about how Democrats want to fight fair, and thats why they lose. Maybe. Lets give them the benefit of the doubt for a second and suppose that Democratic politicians need to be able to get to sleep at night, so they wont use underhanded tactics to win. How do you sleep at night knowing millions of kids went to bed hungry or cold in your country? How do you sleep at night knowing many women earn less than men doing the exact same work? How do you sleep at night knowing gay people can be fired from their jobs simply for being gay? How do you sleep at night knowing thousands of people die every year unnecessarily due to rampant gun violence? How do you sleep at night knowing we are throwing away trillions of dollars on pointless conflicts overseas turning distant cities to rubble while our infrastructure and society here at home crumbles? How do you sleep at night knowing youre watching all of this suffering from your high horse? The answer is simple: Democratic politicians dont give a shit. They arent trying to act ethically, theyre trying to act ineffectively. Democrats in Washington dont want anything to change. Why would they? Theyre doing quite well, theyve figured out the system, and any changes to it might mean they wont walk out of their cushy elected position and into a seven figure a year lobbying position afterward. No Democrat you vote for gives a shit about anything but themselves. Democrats have demonstrated they are not ineffective. Democrats have dedicated their time and effort towards what they value, and that isnt passing legislation that benefits the country. No, Democratic politicians are good at two things: begging for money and distracting you from their own record. Thats it. They are successful fundraisers and masters of misdirection, able to get you to donate to their cause on the grounds that if Republicans win, theyre start more foreign conflicts, cut public services, give tax breaks to the wealthy, prevent gun control... basically, what Democrats have done... only were assured it would be far worse. The worst scenario is not Republicans getting elected, its conservatives holding liberalism hostage on the threat that if they dont vote for mild conservatism, well be forced to live under jack-booted thugs. The worst scenario is what we have.
