If Hungary can apologize Haaretz might follow the lead! One of the pitfalls of a Democracy is that while it allows freedom of speech it also allows freedom to those who wish to destroy and or undermine the state and its people. The idea- after the Jewish Holocaust - that a Jewish state would allow a Nazi family to own part or any shares of any company/ news paper in Israel is an affront to base logic rooted in the words - We Will Never Forget. “ HAARETZ IS NOW ONE QUARTER OWNED BY A GERMAN INVESTMENT GROUP THAT MADE ITS FORTUNE IN WORLD WAR II FROM ITS NAZI TIES AND FROM GRABBING PROPERTY STOLEN FROM JEWS!!!” In 2006 the Schoken family, which began Haaretz and still is the largest shareholder in it, sold 25% of the ownership shares in Haaretz to a German investor named group DuMont Schauberg. (It also is a major funder of the Shimon Peres Center!) Now according to the leading German news magazine Der Spiegel, the DuMont family amassed the lions share of its wealth during World War II, in no small part by grabbing property stolen from Jews israelnationalnews/Articles/Article.aspx/9453#.Ujmb-dbD_sa
