If I could have your attention for just a moment please? Some people think they are funny or they are cute and maybe they are. But in all seriousness, please, save your jokes for when you are on the ground (and by that I mean nowhere in or around an aircraft or an airport). Flying is a serious matter. In case all the security screening didnt tip you off, Im here to tell you, its very serious. And ebola is very serious. It is not a laughing matter in any circumstance. Joking about ebola on an airplane is NOT even remotely ok. Neither is joking about terrorists or bombs or anything of the sort. Id like to think this guy just had a lapse in judgement. It happens. But when you are travelling by air, you must put on your serious face. Making any kind of wisecracks like that will get you booted off the plane at best, and likely subjected to a intimate strip search or other indignities. Or you could wind up being federally prosecuted and facing prison. And you just inconvenienced and pissed off a whole lot of people. And you look like an ass to the whole world.
