If I ever learn of love, With agaped mouth Let her move Every particle of me To a shapeless self There to prove In darkest hour of her light Such rendition of heart Lead me twice If ever I learn of love The luminescent grin and shade Of her dark curls, scintillating As stars are gems to the ebony So twixt those shadows do eyes Of light serene And with tears of joy, I cry And kiss the dear love goodnight Sleeping against her thrush Into the pillowed meadows Of nature thus If I ever learnt of love Now is the time to choose Whether my pen or hand May come to sweeter lands Than abade to fantastical muse Such is the learning profused Protested hy mind stonewalled Yet lingers still in core To the window I ope on con amore As zealous fashions do implore Shall I find better feats to prevail To love, I nurture my own self As to proprietary I learn to delve Into the ancient chasm of my swell In dwells a heart for love to hale And pull outward a tenfold love Full of promise, honesty and resolve
