If I had a choice to invest in a publicly disclosed company that was losing money, or a private company who was willing to show me their glowing and profitable P&L statement, all other things being equal, Id choose the public company in a flash. Why? The h-e-a-v-y requirements that the public company must follow force them to always be truthful. The private company can change their P&L daily if they wish. What they show to you (if they even will show you anything) can contain numbers that can be manipulated and re-booked to appear many different ways. Therein lies a large part of the risk for any distributor in a company who, unlike WUN, is not required to live up to the Sarbanes-Oxley act. Lots of hype can, like quicksand, make the path seem solid, when what truly lies underneath the surface can destroy your future. Matt Peterson
