If I had an opportunity to speak to the Jewish people, this is - TopicsExpress

If I had an opportunity to speak to the Jewish people, this is what I would say: Enough time has passed since 2008 for us to see Mr. Obamas true colors when it comes to Israel. This is just some of his history with the Jewish state: Regarding the disastrous progress of the peace negotiations, Mr. Obama has squarely placed the blame on Israel & its settlement activity. Mr. Obama has mostly ignored that the Palestinian people elected a terrorist organization that has called for the annihilation of the Jews to represent them (& more recently recognized the organization as a negotiating partner through USs official acceptance of the Palestinian unity government). Mr. Obamas inadequate condemnation against rocket attacks aimed at Israeli civilians makes me wonder if Mr. Obama now considers such terror attacks as unworthy of condemnation. More recently, Mr. Obama has drawn parallels between a Jew-hating terrorist organization launching rockets at civilians and Israel, a nation defending its citizens, when he called for all parties to act with restraint... as if he views Israel & Hamas as equals. The administrations hostility towards Bibi, Israels elected leader, and its favoritism towards Holocaust denier, Mr. Abbas, is no longer a secret. Mr. Obama has repeatedly (publicly & privately) snubbed Mr. Netanyahu while praising Mr. Abbas since 2008. Mr. Obama was the first President to publicly state - against the wishes of Israel - that the 1967 borders should be used as a starting point to negotiations, a hostile stance considering the security risks Israel would have to accept. A large majority of Israelis disagree on this point with Mr. Obama since they, like him, would like to live in peace. Some of my friends defend Mr. Obama through thick & thin. I understand that there are many social liberals among us & that many vote blue mostly because of their commitment to social values. But I dont understand why the Jewish people to whom the survival of Israel is critical refuse to accept the obvious: This is not how you treat your friends. Mr. Obama is no friend to Israel. While this administration paints a destructive path for Israels citizens, its enemies move forward with a strategic road to destroy the Jewish homeland (extremism has clearly surged in the Middle East since 2008 & Iran continues its nuclear ambitions). Do we continue to turn a blind eye?
