If I hear one more man try to flip the script and make the Ray Rice story about finding fault with his wifes behavior, Im going to go ham. First of all, he obviously did not feel his life was in danger. If he felt he was in danger, he is an NFL running back, he could have outrun her (especially since she had on heels). I dont know her; so I cannot say for sure why she married him, but women with BATTERED WOMENS SYNDROME often make this a decision. They often feel that they will be left financially destitute, that their abuser will hire a better lawyer and take their children. They also have been beat down so much mentally that their low self-esteem makes them feel that it is their fault and they dont deserve better. Another thing, the whole – she hit him first (or must have), defense, and even the – she spit on him, defense does not justify him hitting her. He should have called the police.
