If I made a choice between the different races of human beings on the planet, deciding to choose one of them as my preferred race and allowed myself to be easily definable within the parameters of conventional thinking of today—as belonging to one race over all others—would that change things, and should I change to adapt to your limited viewpoints or hold true to my own? The price to be paid for truth is, indeed, a heavy one. I think I’ll stick to my guns even if that means continuing to go it alone. I think every last one of you is crazy, not me. They say a madman won’t believe you when you tell him he’s insane. Tell me about it—a whole society won’t believe it either. God forbid a man should be allowed to think for himself.
