If I may, one of the many and a best investment that LRU can do is to strengthen its clubs competition through their club coaches. Its a great time that LRU looks into running a level 1 or Level 2 coaching course for all its coaches. If nominations is being endorsed by the clubs/players for their preferred coaches, then the LRU should get these coaches accredited for free as clubs should have that incentive to keep these coaches for at least 2 years. The most important thing here is, coaches come to learn, get accredited and SHARE IDEAS. There should be an open, transparent forum where coaches should be allowed to speak their mind on things they are challenged with within their club. Surely he or she is not on their own and the more they share what they perceive as something thats working for them, they should be able to share it. Being a coach, its not so much about winning(results), its seeing how your players respond to your style of coaching, what goals you have for them, wether, its in training, individual skills, unit skills(forwards), running lines(backs), as a team and how as players, or as a team they respond to you as a coach.(The Process). We talk so much about team effort and club effort that we forget those silent contributors, those coaches. Lets invest in them, recognise their time and invest in them. The least we can do for them.
