If I spent have as much time on homework as I have on paperwork, ordering, product development , packaging design, media, product testing, advertising and marketing for this stupid product line, Id have a 4.0 this semester. Unfortunately, there are only 24 hours in the day, and at this point in my life, work takes priority. Also, my grades have suffered do to attendance issues. The school policy is to excuse students when there is a work conflict, because its not like professors are huge Fascists... However, I was informed by multiple professors that, being self employed, my missing class due to things such as rush orders, and trying to work out an order with a wholesale supplier, are not considered valid excuses for not coming to class. Also, I dont have a real job because there is no one other than myself to write a note to my professors. ... because I am self employed and work 80+ hours a week on TWO businesses, and thus, do not have time to get a part time job that would not earn me a living wage, with which to procure a note of excusal from a supervisor.
