If I tell you why Ole Lenku still has a job, you wouldnt believe me:). Then again, you know Kenyans. Short memory. Insecurity in Kenya is only an issue on our lips for a few days then life continues. BTW, Chuplee have a great PR machine. Knows how to deal with negative publicity in a smart way. The sad part is about the deaths of our men in uniform. The govt promptly calls them heroes, forgetting that they never wanted to be heroes in the first place! All they wanted was to restore order and go back to their families - who will now have to live in squalor without their loved ones and with next-to-nothing support from the govt which wants them to believe they are associated with heroes!. But I still have this question which keeps bothering me: How well prepared (ARMED) are these cops when they head to such missions? I need this brief from the commanders. I need to look at the Arms movement register and see what sort of arms these men carried for such a mission. The real answer is somewhere and I believe its in the preparations for such missions. Some senior officers/commanders need to be held accountable for these deadly/botched missions.
