If I were to buy stock in a young, upcoming musical artist, Id buy up a lot of GRIMES (Claire Boucher) stock. This girl is a self-made musical impact. Formulating, even a new genre of music. Wizard Rock/Witch Pop/Experimental Synth-pop. She is a highly unique musician with a one-of-a-kind sound. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia- Canada. She does everything. In total control of her music and video production and concepts. She has some shock value in her video production but its brilliantly done. She threw me off guard at first but grew on me real fast! Its as though The Cocteau Twins, Enya and Aphex Twin had a love child! Shes ahead of her time and once truly submerged in the large market, watch out! Droppin ya right off into the deep end of the pool with this one. Genesis will take some time to sink in. Voice of an angel, but thoughts from elsewhere. Genesis is a concept of what Claires childhood concept of traditional religion (She was raised Catholic). She is deeply spiritual, despite what one may jump to conclusions with videos like this. :)
