“If You Don’t Feed It, It Will Die” The Fatal Five Are you destined to die from one or more of the Fatal Five? If you don’t feed the cells of your body they will die early. What if they were preventable and in most cases reversible? What if you discovered that the medical profession will not prevent or cure any of these disorders because it would drive them, the pharmaceutical industry, most hospitals, many insurance companies and many doctors and nurses out of business? The top five fatal diseases today are circulatory or heart disease, cancer, stroke, respiratory disorders and diabetes. Another one approaching epidemic proportions is Alzheimer’s. What’s amazing about these disorders is that they are for the most part preventable and in many cases reversible. In the early 1900’s deaths associated with the Fatal Five amounted to only seven percent of the population. In the United States today heart disease accounts for over 600 thousand deaths annually, cancer is approaching 500 thousand a year, stroke 200 thousand, respiratory deaths around 160 thousand annually and diabetes is fast approaching 120 thousand. There are three things that the Fatal Five have in common and it would be truly disastrous to ignore them. Low nutrient levels, free radical damage and inflammation. Let’s take a look at each one to learn what we can do about them. #1) It’s well understood that the Standard American Diet (SAD), has been depleted of many of the most important nutrients. The land is deficient of the minerals, cooking and processing destroys vitamins and enzymes, and the food industry has switched us from good healthy fats to denatured fats and replaced them with carbohydrates. This leaves us with two choices. Either die young due to deficiencies or supplement our diets. #2) Free radicals are a very real and dangerous part of life and even though they can’t be avoided you can protect yourself against them. Free radicals are created by pollution in the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. They are also caused by stress, exercise and many other factors. It is simply impossible to avoid them. Smokers create millions every time they smoke. All automobiles create free radicals. The list goes on and on. Free radicals are oxygen molecules that are thrown out of balance due to the pollution. They will do anything to become balanced again including slamming into everything they come in contact with. When they hit your skin, the walls of your vascular system, your organs, the DNA in your cells, the neurons in your brain or any other body tissue, they damage it. When the cells are damaged the natural immune response is to go clean the area up, which results in inflammation (swelling). Yes your body will heal but without enough proper nutrition the cells become leathery so less fluid and nutrition can enter and fewer toxins can exit. Each system that is attacked swells. When the cells of the vascular system swell you get high blood pressure and if enough damage is done in an artery you get a stroke or heart attack. When the DNA within a cell is damaged the cells that are produced may become mutated or cancerous. When the neurons of the brain swell you get Alzheimer’s. If the beta islet cells in the pancreas swell you can develop diabetes. When the fragile tissues in the lungs swell you get emphysema or asthma. The list goes on and on. #3) Inflammation is directly connected to the Fatal Five. As the body deteriorates from lack of nutrition or is damaged by trauma such as free radicals, inflammation is present. Inflammation is a natural immune response. As an example, anyone who has ever got a splinter and didn’t remove it immediately can identify this way. In just a few hours the area will become red and swollen. That is the immune system recognizing that a foreign substance has invaded the body. The immune system sends white blood cells and killer T cells to the area to consume bacteria and germs and clean the area. As a result swelling (inflammation) and redness occur. Asthma is now recognized as inflammation of the bronchial tubes. Now here is what makes this really disastrous. Free radicals cause damage and inflammation. Inflammation causes more free radicals, which in turn causes even more damage. This vicious cycle is believed by many to be the reason the Fatal Five continues to grow at alarming rates. So what can we do to avoid the Fatal Five? The only way to overcome them is to supplement your diet with very high quality nutrients to compensate for the deficiencies in our diet, consume anti-oxidants to stop free radical damage and take natural anti-inflammatory supplements to keep the inflammation under control. Eating higher quality food is not an option for most people. Our lifestyles keep us on the move forcing us to eat denatured fast foods that are low in nutrition and high in bad fats and preservatives. In many cases these same foods enhance free radical damage throughout the body and cause inflammation, the very things that we are trying to fight. Get back with the person that directed you to this information to learn how to get the highest quality nutrients, the most powerful anti-oxidants and the most effective all-natural anti-inflammatories available.
