If a man doesnt make the first move toward you,even if you do manage to capture his attention for awhile,he will inevitably go off in pursuit of someone who catches his eye and gives him a good challenge. In short,you become a temporary filler because he had nothing to do at the time. Remember that God doesnt believe in wasting your time. Its time you realised how valuable you are.
