If all the hyperbole and adjectives about India Week have been too much to handle, this post is designed specifically to come right to the point and give you straight facts.* *inspired by Sprite’s ‘Seedhi baat, no bakwaas.’ India Week: 16th March - 23rd March 2014 A week of 8 events, that together attempt to embrace all aspects that constitute the essence of India. 16th March (Sunday) - Incredible India Inaugural Night - FREE ENTRY - lots of fantastic singing, musical, literary, dance performances and moving videos lined up, with crazy hosts, an electric atmosphere and lots of Indian food, drinks and sweets. Event Page - https://facebook/events/504609272993600/ 17th March (Monday) - Fundraising - City Centre & Students Union - We will be touring city centre and setting up a stall outside Students Union, in hopes of raising money for Sewa UK, who will donate it to a small village in Gujarat in order to develop schools and improve literacy. 18th March (Tuesday) - ‘India Awakens’ Colloquium - FREE ENTRY - reputed speakers from different fields will be giving small motivational talks, followed by an informal/formal debate about India’s government, elections, cultures, traditions and people. It’s literally just throwing colossal amounts of colour at each and shooting water guns and it’s raw fun like you’ve never imagined.
