If any man among you seem to be religious and brideleth not his tongue,but deceiveth his own heart,this mans religion is vain. If I am not mistaken,I think that james may be the only one that spends very much time in speaking about the tongue.It is lazy,in that at all times it is laying down,yet a Lot of the time it is going ninety to a hundred miles an hour to get the body out of work,or to butter others up to get for the body what is easy and costs little. In jamess writing one would think maybe focusing on cursing.However,I feel that for the most part for each of us to acknowledge our own weaknesses.Yes, I said that.The evil one will find your weakness.A tongue can be used in a sermon to lift one ,or to belittle one.It can be used by fractions,yes I said fractions because when you or I choose to be included in one of these we fraction a congrgation.For those who do not know that word ( faction ).These are ones who divide a congregation. They use their tongue to get their way.So this can be used to point out that James is actually saying You milk this word.Get all you can out of it.The antichrist is gonna use his to win approval.He is gonna use his to pronounce evil on a society in the last years of the tribulation. CHRIST USED HIS WHILE HE WALKED THE EARTH.HIS DESIRE FOR US WAS THAT WE USE OUR TONGUE TO TELL OF HIS SACRIFICE ON THE CROSS,HIS RESURRECTION,OF HEAVEN,OF HELL,OF HIS COMING AGAIN. IS THIS WHAT YOU ARE USING YOUR TONGUE FOR? When our works are judged I reckon we will find out if we have been obedient.Still lip service only is frowned on. There needs to be more. The scripture says THE HONOUR ME WITH THEIR LIPS ,BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME.GOD IS SAYING THEY WORSHIP ME IN VAIN.THIS IS THE DOOM OF HYPOCRITES.O!!!
