If any of my animal loving friends know this answer PLEASE let me know. My 15 year old dog who can no longer walk well and has terrible cataracts was sprayed in the eyes by a skunk Wed at 2 am and I cannot get the smell out of his eyes.... I called the vet... flushed and flushed them with water and saline eyewash and bought some lubricant the vet recommended. .... This is wearing me out cleaning his sheets and towels and things around here and trying not to let him lie his face right on the carpets We have had to throw things out that wont come clean and were not cheap .Dog Pillow Medical curtain that hung in our shower room (several hundred dollars) Weve lived here 12 years and never had Skunk problems here.Skunks are attracted to birdseed and fruits.... which there is now an abundance of around me >:( Anyway My question is does ANYONE know what I can use to get this smell out of his EYES is there anything I do not want to hurt him of course but I NEED a solution is there anything safe and will remove the smell in his eyes ???? >:(
