If any of my cyclist friends are interested in this Tour heres the info. Ive never been to Tahiti so Im interested. It looks to be reasonably inexpensive. This is the email from my friend David... Here’s an update on the Tour of Polynesia ,Sep 14-19 , 2015….. further to my meeting with the president of the Tahitian Cycling Federation. 1)Next year we can allow one rider ELITE 1 Category along with other team mates in Category 2 or below. 2)The cost for participation for each rider has been fixed at 50,000 PACIFIC FRANCS current exchange rate is 515 USD per rider. This will include inter island air and boat travel, as the race will be held on Tahiti, Huahine, Raiatea, Taha’a and final stage on Bora Bora. 3)The schedule has been set so that you can arrange to catch the last flight back to Tahiti on Saturday to take the plane back to HNL Sat. night. 4)Should you have a group of Riders interested, we can contact Hawaiian Air for a discounted rate for the R/T fare. (about 30-40% discount on normal fare) Thanks again for your kind consideration… This could be a great training-type vacation for Kona Triathlon in October!
