If you will be going and are able to provide rides, comment below. My name is Tina Correa and I am a volunteer at Susan G Komen Orange County Affialiate. I am looking for volunteers at some outreach events during May. I think Estela may have sent you the schedule. We will have 2 outreach events in a neighborhood then a mammogram clinic within a few weeks in the same area. At the outreach events, we give out information to women on breast health and sign up women to get free mammograms. We talk to 30-50 women at the outreach events and sign up about 15 women who are interested in mammograms. About 30 women are scheduled for the mammogram clinics. In mid April, I am planning to do a mini training to review materials used and the requirements for the free mammograms. Unfortunately, I can not provide transportation to the sites. I have a few Spanish speaking cancer survivors who will also be volunteering. For some it will be the first time. Last year in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I covered most of the month by myself. There are 3 dates in La Habra, 3 in Santa Ana, 1 in Buena Park and 2 in Anaheim.
