If any one thinks that violence and killing is to be protested, ignored or supported based on the numbers, characteristics and denominations of the parties involved, that is indisputable narrow mindedness. However, the Palestinian invasion issue does deserve special attention in social media compared to other conflicts around the world, because of the following unique reasons that make the case stand out of the rest, the last point being the most important : - It is about a foreigner invading a peoples homeland and displacing the people of soil with dire violence (different from civil war / dictatorial tyranny / tug-of-war for political control) - The oppressor has publicly declared intention to kill civilians of all category and proven it beyond any doubt - There is wide spread media campaign against reality which aids public opinion in favour of the oppressor, breeding endless conflict - Totally trapped inhabitants having no possibility of fleeing the conflict zone (GAZA) - Inflicted populace is forced with determined ban of essential supplies by the oppressor, which includes violence and murder of foreign aid providers - Oppressor has publicly claimed and implemented ethnic cleansing and territorial expansion over several decades - Oppressor has consistently violated international treaties, conventions and resolutions repeatedly over several decades - Oppressor has repeatedly targeted institutions of health, hygiene, education and refuge. Persistent targeting and killing of foreign Journalists, peace activists, medical staff etc. - Subject conflict cascades into unrest in the entire geographic region through political meddling, military and socio-economic ill-intervention, intelligence killings and the like - Social media campaign is capable of curtailing the oppressor and saving lives, possibly bringing peace. Perhaps it is one of the few effective means of lobbying available when vested interests favour world powers and neighbouring states to strengthen the oppressor against those struggling for their right to freedom That being said, blind double standard is a popular mistake repeated by many narrow minded campaigners - i.e. expose those who are disliked and justify those who are liked. At the same time, while criticising this tendency, some go over the limit to demand that each campaigner should talk about every conflict around the world to prove impartial. Impossible idea even to the accuser but possible by the full fledged media establishments, most of whom make sure to take some side or the other.
