Dear Potential Sponsor, We are a team of philanthropists running a charity battle of the bands of the international schools in Bangkok. The aim is to raise as much money as possible for Camillian Home: an orphanage and day care center for disabled children who are hoping to expand and build new classrooms and physiotherapy facilities. Our other charity is Operation Smile who pay for reconstructive surgery on cleft palates and other debilitating facial deformities in children. The Venue will be at Space 16, a rooftop restaurant and lounge above Foodland on Sukhumvit, Soi 16) on March 1st from 4:00 pm to 10:00pm and we believe that an acoustic competition of some of the finest talent that Bangkok’s International Schools offer will be a huge success. We are also honoured to have Nick Clarke, Director of Music at the British International School of Northern Thailand and genius improvisational pianist playing for us and we will end the evening with an international DJ playing house and soul music. We will be advertising the concert in the Bangkok Post, the Nation, and in Minus 9 magazine (circulation 25,000) and on Channel 3. We will be promoting and selling tickets for the event and for a prize raffle in most of the major international schools in Bangkok along with several department stores and restaurants. All sponsors will be mentioned at the assemblies of the 10 schools involved as well as in a newsletter sent home to every student’s parents. This is being run entirely as a non-profit event and both charities are renowned for being transparent. As such, we are working for no salary and as we have bands, the Venue and food and drinks for free, our only cost is printing tickets and posters. Sponsors and donators can be sure that we are maximizing the benefit to the charities and we will open our books on the night and hope to show we’ve raised an enormous amount for two great causes. There will be an ongoing charity raffle running before and during the event. Please note that at every level a significant or exciting raffle prize will be considered as equivalent to a financial sponsorship deal. The prizes for the raffle will also be mentioned at all points of sale of raffle tickets and at the prize draw during the evening. We will also consider a considerable donation of food or drink served at the event in lieu of sponsorship as we can promote this to help with ticket sales.
