“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it." -Luke 9:23-24 (vs. 57-60) Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, Lord, I WILL follow You wherever You go. And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head. Then He said to another, Follow Me. But he said, Lord, LET ME FIRST go and bury my father. Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God. But seek FIRST the kingdom OF GOD and HIS righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. - Matthew 6:33 If anyone DESIRES to come after Christ: 1. DENY SELF (Desires i wish to follow) 2. TAKE UP YOUR CROSS DAILY (die to self; flesh) 3. FOLLOW CHRIST (live to Christ) its just that simple. If desire to say "I WILL" as in vs. 57-60, FIRST do steps 1, and 2. DENY YOURSELF, DIE TO THE FLESH, AND THEN FOLLOW CHRIST. If YOU "will" to follow Christ follow these three principals and you will DO the will of CHRIST. To often we say "i will" but fail the very first step. #somethingtoworkon
