If anyone still has any delusion that the Peoples Association (PA) is non-partisan, this should put paid to any such fantasies. The PA launched a nutrition programme for senior citizens - called Eating Well in Your Golden Years - at Paya Lebar-Kovan CC this morning. See: m.todayonline//singapore/programme-launched-help-seniors-eat-better The strange thing is that they invited the Education Minister, Heng Swee Keat, as Guest of Honor. Why strange? First, Paya Lebar-Kovan CC is right in the heart of Workers Party-controlled Aljunied GRC. Why didnt the PA invite a well-known nutritionist or dietician or perhaps, the MP of Aljunied GRC? Secondly, what business does Heng Swee Keat as education minister have with nutrition? PAP ministers like to raise hue and cry and accuse unjustly Opposition MPs of politicizing national issues. Yet, they themselves merrily make use of supposedly neutral community events to perpetuate the PAP name. Now who really is politicizing?
