If called for Jury Duty in Los Angeles, expect to sit in a room of 150 people all day long with nothing happening... literally. Bring a LOT of reading material. At least the last time I was called, they screened us and appeared to be making some progress... no criminal trials in need of a jury in L.A.? Annnnnd onto our crime level... What the what? I kind of wish I had been called to a trial primarily for the educational aspect... I guess at least I got a lot of great reading in, and a nap afterward because my eyes were so tired of reading! Maybe next year my duty will be a bit more inspiring.
