If it was to celebrate the dubious distinction of a newly - TopicsExpress

If it was to celebrate the dubious distinction of a newly discovered larger economy status, there was no time lag. If it was to stage a misguided Centenary Awards night, time, money and planning were in no short supply. If it was to investigate a supposed profligate/corrupt Petroleum Minister, time just lagged and dragged. If it was to get to the bottom of a previous bomb blast at Abuja, they just did not want to know. Then another bomb went off. Over 200 girls are now missing, abducted. We do not know by whom. I sat and watched to see what the man called President Goodluck Jonathan would do. He did nothing. For over 2 weeks. Then Gordon Brown volunteered to help. The United States offered as well. But Jonathan just sat at home, twiddling his fingers. Then suddenly, Jonathan awoke from a slumber. He realised that a hashtag had been assigned to our missing little girls. So, apparently, did his wife who goes by the dubious title of Dame. Her name is Patience and it appeared they applied her name wrongly to the handling of this matter. They quickly sought to blame ineptitude in dealing with an act of INTERNATIONAL terrorism on a mere State Governor. Even Dame demanded the girls from Governor. I am so ashamed to be Nigerian. I have been for ages, and it only gets worse the longer the country is steered by these sorts of people. Do they know what it means for little girls to be left alone in the hands of ruthless young men? Is the word RAPE difficult to conjure up at times like this? For all the orgies that are held daily in the corridors of power, is the appreciation of feminine vulnerability now so difficult? No matter what Jonathan does now, he has shown his hand. He is a dithering blunderer. A man in the wrong job. Too small for the shoes he wears. GOD, we have no President. We beseech YOU to BRING BACK OUR GIRLS
