“If most people committed the principles of 1 Corinthians 13 to their hearts, we could eliminate wars and divorces and so much other bad stuff that happens here on planet Earth!” Take kids for instance, in this day and age they are surrounded by others who can inspire them to ignore, laugh at and even bully some of their peers. But teach these kids the message of 1 Corinthians 13, which is about patience and kindness and rejoicing in right behavior, and suddenly you’ll have kids who understand what it means to be considerate of others. The recent onslaught of bullying in schools brought fast responses from school districts who introduced education and training on how to stop bullying behavior to their students. The results have been positive (more in school settings than in the social media) as more students now can identify bullying and know some steps to stop it. But if we take the time to teach kids what love is and the ways they can behave in loving ways, these messages are only going to further speed up the death of bullying. In the 1 Corinthians 13 Lesson pack there is a list of 15 descriptions of love and we have activities and lessons that will help children remember them and know when to use them. Our activities will help children envision real-life situations where they can apply honest 1 Corinthians 13 “love”!
