If our rulers could stop lying to themselves for a moment, the public might realize the following: - The havoc of Taliban terrorism is not because of drones or the so called war on terror. It’s because weve nurtured these monsters ourselves. And if we don’t address it, there will be didly squat investment both from within and without. - The millstone of devaluation and inflation is not IMF’s fault but our completely inability as a nation to balance books. So long as the elite is immune from contributing to the national treasury, the bottom 95% will sink deeper into poverty and despair (and terrorism). - There is no savoir on the horizon, who through simple administrative measures will bring about the second ‘golden era’ in 90 days. Basic understanding and application of economics and realpolitik will serve the people much more than absurd promises and grandstanding. - Our strategic assets will be worth naught when the state fails through centrifugal forces pulling it apart as the centre implodes. - A large population or land mass is no guarantee against a country failing. 1990s Soviet Union was not a pretty place and did break up. As did Yugoslavia. Indonesia came close to it Finally the so called pharha likha class would help considerably if they stop disparaging the unwashed masses, and instead have faith in their capacity to make difficult but wise choices if presented with complete information
