If our rural people could easily access a type of chemical that enables dry leaves to last longer, Indias export may grow manifolds in handicrafts sector giving a boost to GDP with a positive impact on rural employment. In our villages many handicrafts are done using different kinds of leaves for example KHAJOOR (date) Leaves , Bamboo stem and many more.. They are very ornamental, attractive and precious looking but for a few days gradually they dry. They look so precious and impressive that one cant resist oneself from their charm. On the occasion of Deepawali People from rural areas come to market to sell them and people purchase to decorate their home. These handicrafts have potential to attract people from abroad too and as my opinion they should be promoted to international level if they could be preserved to sustain their beauty for a little longer and if we are able to enhance it a little bit by using our modern technology. The handicrafts industries can involve a great labour force reducing unemployment of rural India hence a good effect on employment growth rate and the more important quality plantation of such trees can grow more fruits and reduce the level of green house gas. can we take a step further to promote the skills of our rural India to International market and in return strengthen them economically?????
