If someone gives you a gift on a day of their festival, if it is halal, then it should be accepted and this is permissible, however congratulating them on their festivals is not permissible. And how can it be when they have committed kufr and shirk through these festivals? How can we say enjoy your shirk mate!? How can we say Merry making partners with god!? It is against the testification we have made to the oneness of Allaah and the failure of taaghoot that we ever congratulate or praise something of the kuffaar in their religion which contravenes our pristine Shareeah. Sorry to all those who may get offended by this, or who feel awkward or angry at this, my cooperation and unity is not based on modernist thinking, but on the shariah.
