If the Animal Resource Center and Humane Society didnt charge people to release ownership of their pets they wouldnt have poor people dumping them there. At least they brought them to the safest place they probably knew. There should be a place to take any unwanted animal FREE OF CHARGE. I get they need money to keep running but this would cut down on abuse and dumping. I cant tell you how many times Ive got calls from people who were told their pet wouldnt be accepted without paying a large fee which they couldnt afford.
