If the Economic adviser to the president Dr. Niimoi Thompson says - TopicsExpress

If the Economic adviser to the president Dr. Niimoi Thompson says we should give government a break that Even Obama has problems implementing policies then Ghanaians understand there is trouble looming. It looks as though government is burnt on giving excuses not pragmatic solutions. Government did not spare our ears with the implementation of the SSPP. When it felt good in 2012, government vuvuzeld its feat- implementing the the SSPP. Now that things are amiss, we point accusing fingers and begin comparing ourselves to others. In one breath government says the economy is strong and robust on the other, it blindly compares Ghana with America to make for economic incompetence sorry I meant inefficiency charitably. You see, from what I gathered in Dr. Bawumias lecture, we are borrowing money to payoff debts! Not for developmental or infrastructural advancements that can yield returns to pay for themselves. For any progress minded nation, you want to make investments that posterity will benefit from. Listen to Thomas Jefferson: Loading up the nation with debt and leaving it for the following generations to pay is morally irresponsible. Excessive debt is a means by which governments oppress the people and waste their substance. No nation has a right to contract debt for periods longer than the majority contracting it can expect to live. Obviously, when you eat you dont talk right? #GhanaiansAreWatChing#
