If the Redskins F around next year and give 30yr old Brian Orakpo the deal HE wants, in exchange for losing the VERY TALENTED 26yr old Ryan Kerrigan.... Ill be one PISSED OFF MOFO! That would be a super dumb move and Bruce Allen knows it. I assure you, in his franchise tag year that Rakpo doesnt manage 15+ sacks and he will be hurt for atleast 1-5 games, FROM SOMETHING! This is what you do if youre the Redskins and he produces this year though... You tag him AGAIN next year (YES, YOU CAN DO THAT!), its already been done this year and we kept our man w/o giving up a ton of cap space! Its a guaranteed 17 million at the end of 2015 - but thats a much cheaper price tag then giving him a long term contract. Back on subject, if he produces this upcoming year, you TAG HIM, AGAIN, NEXT YEAR! Its the same stipulations as they did this year, so again... He wont be getting that HUGE paycheck YET, unless he produces yet again in 2016.... ...THEN you have a decision to make in 2016! A big one! Kerrigan comes back next year, regardless, with a 5 million dollar payment (under his rookie contract). If he continues to accel, as he MOST DEFINITELY has, you MOST DEFINITELY give him HIS payment and long term contract! Tag Orakpo as I mentioned, hell be on the wrong side of 30 THEN and if hes still producing... You look for a GREAT trade for him. Just my 2¢!!!
