If the looks on folks faces last night was any indication, High Stakes: Poker and Politics was one of our most intense, brow-furrowing, and sweaty evenings yet! Thanks to CleanSlateNow, Colorado Move to Amend, and Colorado Common Cause for coming out, playing (and in some cases, losing horribly, while in others, winning big) and chatting folks up about the influence of money in politics, and how we can make our elections better! Many, many thanks to the businesses around town who helped with the fabulous prizes they donated: Pablos Coffee, The Sie Film Center, Natural Groceries, The Colorado History Museum, The Buntport Theater, BYSE4, and the Colorado Fiscal Institute! And last but never least, thanks a million to everyone who made it out last night - especially you first timers. We love you all!
