If the majority of the electorate in a particular country voted the Conservative Party to power over the Socialist or Liberal Party or voted in the Socialist or Liberal Party to power over the Conservative Party, the whole world would approve and congratulate the country for its democratic credentials etc. If the same country, in fair and free elections, voted in an Islamic Party to power, the first act of so called Democracies would be to do all possible to initiate a “Regime Change.”Unfortunately, these double standards make Muslims believe that there is no room for Muslims in the so called Democracy. Another definition to the term Democracy which excludes Islam from its ambit must be found.
