If the movie 12 Monkeys taught us anything, its that two unrelated events can be accidentally combined in the eyes of history. The army if the 12 Monkeys were nothing more that extremist animal rights activists, and their misfortune of plastering We Did It signs all over the place at the same time a different extremist released a plague upon the world caused understandable confusion in the future. Like discerning ancient history, we extrapolate from what is written on a wall. The cave drawings if this age appear on Facebook walls and Twitter feeds. The future of our civilization is uncertain, for all we know a large fleet if alien warships could be headed our way, or, more likely, we may doom ourselves thru war and hunger to a fate similar to other civilizations that would only know about thru ancient artifacts and cave drawings. If, tens of thousands of years into the future, after civilizations have crumbled, social order fallen, and history has been lost, human kind finally pulls itself from the ashes, there will be a need for historians. These future archaeologists will learn about us from what we leave behind. Archetechure and artistic expressions, the way weve changed the land, and, by what weve written on walls. A large, humming database will be found, filled with our collective thoughts and ideas. Tumblr pages and Facebook feeds will be discovered, we will be known as the Food Age once Instagram is discovered. And thru the dirty and cracked lense of time, future historians will conclude that in the middle if November, 2014, the European Space agency landed a probe on Kim Kardashians ass. Well done humanity.... well done.
