If the travel industry worked the same way as the Medical Industrial Complex: Agent: You need to fly somewhere. Me: If you say so, but how much is it going to cost? Agent: It all depends on how much your insurance will cover. Me: Give me a rough estimate. Agent: I dont have those figures, but we highly recommend you do it because your life might be at risk. So you fly to the destination recommended by your travel agent because you think your life depends on it, and then receive the bill for $1500 several weeks later. Me: Why the F#@K did a one hour procedure cost me $1500? Agent: The fuel contracted for the trip was out of network. Me: ???!!! The United States Medical Industrial Complex is nothing but a bunch of well-paid mafia thugs. The fact they even exist as they do shows that we have absolutely no say in how our system works, and before too many people weigh in with political opinions, both Republicans AND Democrats are to blame. Dicks, all of them! The Healthcare.gov site is completely useless. There is no reason for it. I pay BCBSOK directly, so the only real purpose for the government website is simply to just piss me off. Why, you ask? Because I need to prove my identity to Obamacare yet again because I apparently could possibly be a different person next year. It only took like 4 times of sending in the documentation and/or uploading it to prove my identity this year. Dicks.
