If there is a right time for the bicameral Commission on - TopicsExpress

If there is a right time for the bicameral Commission on Appointments to finally reject acting Justice Secretary Leila de Lima instead of merely bypassing her for the nth time, as well as rejecting Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman and acting Commission on Audit (CoA) Commissioner Heidi Mendoza all of whom have been bypassed too many times, the time is now, when Congress resumes from its recess. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ First, Leila de Lima. She has proven herself to be a highly incompetent and inarguably partisan Justice Secretary who moreover, has absolutely no qualms about filing complaints before the Ombudsman against several legislators, chief among them, the three non- Noynoy senators who are being persecuted by the Malacañang tenant and his Liberal Party (LP) allies, and based on claimed whistle-blowers testimonies but who are clearly criminals in that they not only selectively lie, but also cheat and steal, as admitted by them under oath. Did not Benhur Luy and some seven other whistle-blowers testify that they had forged the signatures of legislators to get hold of their pork barrel? Did they not selectively lie — and no doubt with a lot of coaching from De Lima, when they made no mention of the administration legislators also having their signatures forged, as well as the other legislators who definitely also had their pork handed to questionable non-governmental organizations (NGOs)? Many of the statements made by Luy were obviously lies, such as handing some P75 million in cash withdrawn from the bank, which is an impossibility apart from which P75 million in cash, which would weigh more than 100 kilos, given a mix of P1000 and P500 bills, no one person or even two can carry. And did not Benhur Luy steal some funds while doing all the lying and the cheating? Why did Leila de Lima’s whistle-blowers not say anything about the administration senators’ pork being diverted to questionable NGOs, including the Janet Napoles linked NGOs? Why were the other questionable NGOs and the Noynoy allies’ pork that went into these organizations not audited by the CoA? ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ (To read more, please click the icon or the link below.) tribune.net.ph/commentary/pure-evil
