If there was ever any question, my org, Stubbys Heroes, is for Canine AND Community. We do not hate people as so many will post. We do NOT do this just to save dogs. I do NOT love dogs more than people. OUR org, is based on the sole concept that we need people to be responsible, connected, informed, caretakers in order to save lives and create safe communities for women jogging at night alone, for children standing at the bus stops, for teens with too much time on their hands, AND for pets. I grieve when a child is injured because the delicate relationship between dog/child was not managed properly. I cry as if it were my own child and I cry as if my own dog were set up for failure. OUR volunteers and I work for safe communities, we look at big picture, and while we know that our heart is the reason we are in this, we know that we must use our brains and business experience, and our professionalism to save lives and BUILD. BUILD, BUILD, BUILD. Partnership, foundation, community empowerment, information and resource sharing, legislation and education = Stubbys Heroes.
