This AP article follows the illegal actions of the NSA (National Security Agency) and the DOJ (The United States Department of Justice) in their far reaching data mining of the media in 2012. Obama didnt start this one but hes exploiting it to his full advantage. The real serious attacks on the first amendment ramped up under George W Bush after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The one MAJOR error in this article is that it claims the NSA gathers information from sources over seas, this is NOT TRUE. The NSA (National Security Agency) is the US government agency that spies on Americans! The CIA (The Central Intelligence Agency) spies on countries outside the US. These attacks on the first amendment to the constitution are very, very serious. If the media cant objectively (We know that all news media outlets have biases) for fear of government retaliation then we are no longer a republic we are governed by BIG BROTHER which makes our government a dictatorship. The government doesnt have a single dictator, it empowers each person who holds the white house to broader and broader power over the people, until eventually one person will rise to power and control the country. This is not anti-Christ crap, this is political reality not apocalyptic or biblical rhetoric, I dont believe in religion or bibles I believe in logic. If you think that you are safe from government intrusion into your life no matter what your private or public life is think again! If you a lawyer, throw attorney client privileged out the window and get ready to be prosecuted with your clients. If your in the medical profession forget about patient privacy or your own for that matter.
