If we are to move on as a country with mature politics,personally feel ,apart from championing race-free politics,the race of the candidate of member as well,should take second seat as compared to what the member can do. Its become quite nauseating to see political parties try so hard to show theyre not racist by clamouring to showcase their minority members. For example....how PAS showcases their Chinese fan club,how DAP showcases their Malay members.We get it,youre not racists.Thats great. Shouldnt be it at least as much about what the member can do as well as their identity? The way things are going seems to be.... Candidate A:I am a summa cum laude holder from Yale,Ive served in Wataniah for eight years.I took two bullets in the chest while saving a pregnant blind lady from a gang of terrorists who wanted to kill her kitten.I have a case success ratio of 2,000 wins to 1 loss. In my free time I save stranded dolphins,climb mountains for charity,participate in global disaster relief efforts. Im also a former Miss Universe,a member of Mensa and defeated Gary Kasparov twice in chess,held the Asian MMA title twice and currently hold the world record for eating the most hotdogs under a minute. Party:Hmm...not bad...but...we have plenty of your kind here.... Candidate B:Im a minority in this party and to society Im a racially/religiously stereotypical member of that minority. Party:Wow,can we take a wefie? Thats why sometimes in all their flaws...PKR seems to get some things right :) Just my two sen.
