If we do not discuss the ills and corruption and injustice that take place in the world and communities around us, and work towards correcting those ills, corruptions and injustices then what hope do we have for the future generations? We dont all have to agree but we MUST discuss and correct that which does or has the potential to cause harm to us and others. Some of the worst problems and situations in our communities often start off with a small, seemingly harmless act then progress into disastrous situations. Islam and its teachings are here to guide, honour AND protect us and the creatures in this world in every way. Why do rely on our own opinions and desires over Gods wisdom and commands? I, more than anyone am prone to my own mistakes and error and speak out to remind myself first and foremost to be careful of my conduct in both public and private. May Allah guide, forgive and correct us all. Ameen.
