If we start using pony as personal carrier or such that we can go to school/college and university on pony. Going college riding pony will definitely save pony on many counts. A female if owned carefully will give a colt or twin in two or three years and there will be many takers(buyers). A pony can be feed on with common grasses and pulses if tame them to eat it. Speaking only and doing nothing is the culture of Indian politics. There number of good orator and talkers but few have had on hand practical knowledge and among them no one is rich enough to carry out their desired dream because they have no good backers and support. the good talkers are nothing lip service they do and only they wanted is to order or advice people. I want to know how many people are there in the state who really have run for saving pony/ponies. The story of Tingkai Khunou pony farm is well known to one and all(the good orator talkers) but non come out to find out another feasible second attempt instead they only wanted to blame the state policy makers. If I am not wrong few years back a pony farm not far away from Imphal city have ventured to save pony but with wrong concept that is they put indigenous pony with Arabian horse and when I found out the truth and inquire about the possibility of getting of getting indigenous pony breed from such projects non can give the true answer and I dont want to give their names also. If an indigenous pony is reared and groomed with an Arabian horse or other kinds. it will only give birth to cross breed or hybrid so to say. Tingkai khunou is about 30 kms down south of the Imphal town and located within the jurisdiction Bishnupur district. It is a hilly upland area located few kilomtres to west of Imphal Teddim road and Oinam village. There the fate of pony were written on the wall of death. When i contacted the concern authority and known pony experts they told it was only due to wrong site selection all those pony numbering 100s have been died there falling in the deep ravines between the hillocks and the story remain unfolded as no one is taking responsibility of such ill fated project even the state veterinary department runs away from taking responsibility. What pony can contribute in saving our long traditional past is that it will reduce possible environmental pollution due excessive production of fumes from second car owners and killer bike drivers. Reduce road rage related bike and vehicle accidents if we start using ponies as personal transportation system. There are many pony lovers and they will surely purchase for different purposes like pet, joy ride, farming and utilization of the same for tilling land and power generation etc. Do you know that KVK. ANDRO, CAU. IMPHAL have experimented for small scale power generation system for pulling from the tube well(if I am not wrong) and irrigation of crops in the near surrounding farm lands. It is also well aware that pony hoops cause great amount of damage on road surface and besides it also cause injuries in the hooves so we cannot use Tonga carrier( A carrier pull by horse) here. Argument will be there in the land where there is only talkers but no doers. It is time to be practical and OWNING a PONY and rearing it as personal carrier IS THE ONLY ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION!
