If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: (2Ti 2:12) To deny him means to refuse to accept the truth about Christ and his grace To deny means not to give something what one desires (eternal life) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (Mat 7:22-23) These teacher comes in the name of Christ but does not teach the doctrine of Christ, therefore Christ denied them. (2Jn 1:9) "Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son"
