If we want a more informed populace, Why is Dick Cheney still a guest on news shows to offer insight? He was always disastrously bad at his job. He was wrong in the 70s about the Soviet Unions nuclear arsenal, he was wrong in the 80s when he opposed sanctions on the Apartheid government of South Africa, he was wrong when he called Nelson Mandella a terrorist, he was wrong about the WMD in Iraq, he was wrong when he de-prioritized counterterrorist before 9/11, he was wrong about being greeted as liberators, he was wrong about the price of the Iraq war (he said Iraqi oil would pay for virtually all of it), he was wrong when he linked Hussein with al Qaida, and these are just the ones I can come up with off the top of my head. Asking for his sage wisdom on foreign policy is like asking Ken Hamm to talk about evolution.
