If you appear on mainstream television wearing a red poppy you are making a statement.That statement is, I dont want to rock the boat, and I am wearing what I am expected to wear. If however you appear on mainstream television wearing a white poppy you are making a very powerful statement. That statement is simple. The white poppy means that you are pro peace, anti war. Its not a controversial statement. The red poppy used to be about remembrance, but now all it means is unthinking, cowardly conformity. So far this year I have seen zero people on television wearing the white poppy of peace. This is not a new thing. The white poppy has been around since 1933. Has anybody seen a white poppy this year? I havent. I asked a poppy seller today if she had any. She said she didnt, but lots of people have been asking for them. People care, but they are corralled into accepting meaningless platitudes. The corporate controllers want eternal warfare, and the plastic red poppies are perfect for them. People (especially politicians) can act like they care, whilst the business of war continues as usual. As long as we go with the flow, and put up with empty symbols that promote more slavery, more war, and more suffering the world cannot change. In 1000 years time well still be buying little red poppies, and still be mourning the deaths of the latest young men sacrificed for corporate profit and human slavery.
