If you are a certain age youll recognize this building. When it finally it met its demise it was known as the Mushroom Factory by those of a certain age. Way back in 1904 when this was photo was taken it made something different than mushrooms. What was it? The photo gives you a hint. BTW I rewatching Alan Putz great video he made on what happened to this structure via WLS Radio when I realized that many Tinley Parkers might not know a bit of its history....
