HB 575 – The Ultrasound Bill: This bill has tremendous promise – 62 bipartisan cosponsors and bipartisan prime sponsors. It is in the “wrong” committee and it just needs to get to the House Floor where it will pass! With last Friday’s “Discharge Petition” action to the House Floor things have gotten “hotter.” (The “bonds of wickedness” have held down all other new pro-life bills for nine straight years in Frankfort.) We are told that it will be heard this Thursday, March 20 at noon. It is now time to move on because House Bill 575 – The Ultrasound Bill – will be heard in committee tomorrow at noon – Thurs., March 20. It will go one of two ways: 1) be killed as have all other new pro-life bills for the last 9 years; OR 2) come out of committee (and then SUCCEED on the House Floor).
