If you are against the action, but support those who carry out such an action, you are a silly hypocrite and have no right to be taken seriously in philosophical discourse. Imagine if we applied the insanity of troop worship to other areas of life. Imagine if rape was excused because while we were opposed to rape, we supported the rapist. Imagine if we chose to give murderers a pass because while we conformed to the idea that murder was wrong, we cant hold the murderer accountable for his act. This is the non-sense youre propagating when asserting the ridiculous notion of supporting the troops and opposing their vile, unnecessary wars they engage in. If you support the troops you are pro-war.
